What is the difference between NANOBARRERA and sprayed polyurethane foam? NANOBARRERA is made based on nanotechnology, has low thickness, low maintenance and repair costs, it waterproofs and insulates in a single product.

Is NANOBARRERA qualified to obtain Thermal Resistivity or “R” Factor values? No, since to calculate an "R" value, high thicknesses of 1" (in) or more are required. Since NANOBARRERA coating is applied in very low thicknesses, a traditional "R" value cannot be calculated. Furthermore, NANOBARRERA does not have the capacity to absorb and transfer heat, which is a requirement for a material to have an "R" value. NANOBARRERA handles heat transfer differently than traditional insulation, such as fiberglass, spray foam, high-density polystyrene, extruded polystyrene, or polyurethane. If you want to compare NANOBARRERA with traditional thermal insulators, its overall heat loss/gain factors and the energy savings it produces, could be matched to those produced by traditional R-16 thermal insulators.
